Integrating Psychotherapy
Integrating Psychotherapy As You Learn How To Meditate
One of the most important things you can learn is an internal, psychological map for this transpersonal world of meditation. Having this psychological map will help you frame acute, internal experiences.
This will help you discriminate between experiences that you can observe through meditation and those that will need to be “languaged” psychologically.
Combining good trauma therapy with learning how to meditate will give you the buffer when meditation teachers inadvertently speak about “right” ways to meditate.
We’re all sensitive to feeling shamed or diminished if we can’t do something. If you understand your own internal psychology you will be better equipped to learn how to meditate following your own compass.
